Dental Implants in Greater Phoenix, AZ

9 Convenient Dental Offices In The Phoenix Area

Replacing a missing tooth is not only about filling the visible space. The replacement also needs to handle chewing, fit comfortably with your bite, and work alongside the teeth that remain. Dental implants offer one way to rebuild that missing support without relying on a removable appliance or using neighboring teeth as anchors.

Dental Design Studios provides implant treatment for patients throughout the Greater Phoenix area. Implants may be used for a single missing tooth, to support a removable Snap-On Denture, or as part of fixed All-on-X full-arch treatment.

What Is a Dental Implant?

A dental implant is a small post placed in the jaw to act as a foundation for a replacement tooth or implant-supported restoration. After the implant has healed and become stable, a crown or other replacement can be attached above the gumline.

The implant itself replaces the supporting role of the missing root, while the visible replacement is designed separately to restore the tooth you see and use. The finished tooth should fit comfortably with your bite and work naturally alongside your remaining teeth.

Who May Be a Candidate for Implants?

Implant treatment depends on the health of the gums and bone, the condition of the treatment area, medical history, smoking or tobacco use, oral hygiene, and the forces created by your bite. Some patients are ready for implant placement without much additional treatment, while others need periodontal care, healing, or another preparatory step first.

Being told that you have limited bone does not automatically rule out every implant option, but it can change what is required. Your dentist will review the area and explain whether implant treatment is realistic before you commit to the process.

What Is the Implant Treatment Process?

Planning begins with an examination and dental imaging. TRIOS 3D intraoral scanners are available at all nine Dental Design Studios offices for detailed digital records, and CBCT imaging is available at selected locations when three-dimensional evaluation of the jaw is needed.

The implant is placed in the planned position and then given time to heal. Depending on the case, a temporary tooth may be used during that period. Once the implant has become sufficiently stable, the final replacement is completed and adjusted to fit the bite.

Can an Implant Be Placed the Same Day a Tooth Is Removed?

Sometimes. Dental Design Studios includes implants among its same-day treatment capabilities for appropriate patients. When the socket, bone support, infection status, and implant stability allow it, placement may occur on the day of extraction.

That does not eliminate the healing phase. The implant still needs time to integrate and become stable in the jaw before it carries the final restoration. At 75th Ave Dental Studio, 3D printing is also used for selected immediate single-tooth implant temporization.

Dental Implant, Bridge, or Removable Replacement?

An implant supports its own replacement tooth, while a traditional bridge uses neighboring teeth as anchors. A removable partial denture can replace one or several teeth without implant surgery, but it is taken out for cleaning.

The better option depends on the health of adjacent teeth, bone support, the number and location of missing teeth, treatment time, maintenance, and personal preference. A consultation should compare those differences rather than treating implants as the automatic answer for every missing tooth.

Implants for Several or All Missing Teeth

Dental implants can support more than a single crown. Snap-On Dentures attach to implants for greater stability while remaining removable by the patient. All-on-X uses multiple implants to support a fixed full-arch restoration that stays in the mouth.

Those treatments solve different problems and involve different maintenance. If you are missing many teeth, we can compare the amount of surgery, removability, cleaning, and long-term care involved in each option. The number of missing teeth alone does not determine which implant-supported solution makes the most sense.

Caring for Dental Implants

Implants cannot develop cavities, but the tissues around them still require daily care. Plaque accumulation and inflammation can affect the gums and bone that support an implant, so brushing, cleaning around the restoration, and regular professional maintenance remain important.

Your bite is also monitored because heavy clenching or grinding can place stress on the implant and restoration. If you notice looseness, bleeding, swelling, discomfort, or a change in the way the implant feels when you chew, have it evaluated.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are dental implants permanent?

Implants are designed as long-term tooth replacements, but no dental treatment should be promised for life. The implant, replacement tooth, gums and bone around it, oral hygiene, and bite all need ongoing care.

Some patients are candidates for immediate implant placement and temporary tooth replacement, but the decision depends on the condition of the site and the stability achieved during treatment.
The implant and artificial tooth cannot decay, but plaque-related inflammation can affect the gums and bone around them. Natural teeth nearby can also still develop cavities.
Healing time varies with the treatment area, bone, medical factors, and the procedure performed. Your dentist will explain the expected timeline for your case.
Yes. Snap-On Dentures use implants for added retention while remaining removable, and All-on-X uses implants to support a fixed full arch.

An implant evaluation includes a look at the available bone and the position of nearby structures. If the site does not currently support the planned implant, the dentist can explain whether additional treatment, a specialist referral, or another tooth-replacement option should be considered.

Dr. Ravi and his staff have been AMAZING!!! My husband Joe Sanchez needs implants because his teeth are not good. He wanted to get titanium implants so he can eat whatever he wants without much restriction. So in May '26 we decided to get them done at this location on 75th Avenue with Dr. Ravi. Dr. Ravi is an amazing dentist who TRULY cares for his patients! My husband currently has plastic implants until his gums heal completely for the permanent implants. This past Wednesday evening 9/16/26 upon "biting down" into a piece of bread, part of the plastic broke and that meant he could not eat much of anything. He texted Dr. Ravi (he gave Joe his personal number in case of any issues), and he responded the next morning and found out he was on vacation, out of the country. But that didn't stop Dr. Ravi from helping us. He told Joe to call the office so they can see him that same day (Thursday). Then Dr. Ravi called his office to give them a heads up so they can be ready to help Joe when he got there. He didn't have to do that but he did! In the beginning... The day before Joe was going in to start this procedure, Dr. Ravi called him (on a Sunday) just to give us peace of mind and to answer any questions we might have about what was going to happen the next day. THAT was impressive because he called on his day off and he seemed sincere. Of course I still had my doubts because of past experiences with dentists. Joe was asked to go back later the same week so they can make sure everything is looking good. But before he can go back in, Dr. Ravi called Joe in the evening to check on him. The office is only opened Mon-Thur. and Memorial weekend on Sunday, Joe lost a screw in the morning and the temp implant got loose, he texted Dr. Ravi (I had to convince him to as this was urgent), and he responded! He called Joe back and told him he was going to try to get someone to meet him at the office so they can help Joe. And he said, "Joe if I can't get a hold of anyone (since it's Memorial weekend), I will personally come to your home if you'd like, so I can help you. But if you can wait, one of my staff is going in on the holiday and we can do it then." That's what we did. What other dentist do you know that would be willing to go out of their way for you?! No one! There was another time that Joe needed to get in over the weekend and again, Dr. Ravi was there! There were also all the texts and calls that Dr. Ravi made to Joe just to see how he was feeling. He didn't have a staff do this, he did it himself. When I say, Dr. Ravi is amazing, I really mean it! I don't know any other dentist who would go this far for any patient. We are so very pleased with Dr. Ravi and his staff for truly caring and as they say, putting your money where your mouth is... My husband is almost ready for his permanent implants and we are so excited! We HIGHLY recommend Dr. Ravi and his staff because they genuinely care for their patients and go above and beyond so you can get the care that you need, and have the confidence in him and his team! I will do an update once Joe get's his permanents and maybe he'll let me add a pic. :)

Love the new location! The staff members are personable and courteous. First time having Fabi as my hygienist and she was very good, not painful at all. Dr. Karren explained what the procedure that needs to be done entails. Been going to AZ Family Dental for years.

I broke a temporary bridge. As usual Toni went above and beyond to squeeze me in the very next morning. She and Bernice worked hard to make me a new temporary, but it kept breaking. Finally, Toni thought outside the box and put my old one back on and repaired the broken part. I am a happy camper!

I finally found a dental office that can clean and treat me in my own wheelchair since I am unable to transfer to their dental chair. The cleaning was not unpleasant and Melanie and Dr. Karren were very personable. This was my first visit with them so I’m hoping things continue well.
